The term “user” includes all customers and visitors to our online offer. The terms used, such as “user”, are to be understood as gender-neutral. Basic information on data processing We process users’ personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations in accordance with the principles of data economy and data avoidance. This means that the user’s data is only processed if a legal permission exists, in particular if the data is required for the provision of our contractual services and online services, or is prescribed by law, or if consent has been given. We take organisational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of the data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons. If content, tools or other means from other providers (hereinafter collectively referred to as “third party providers”) are used within the scope of this data protection declaration and their named registered office is abroad, it is to be assumed that a transfer of data to the countries in which the third party providers are based takes place. Cookies & Reach Measurement Cookies are pieces of information that are transmitted from our web server or third-party web servers to the user’s web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Users are informed about the use of cookies in the context of pseudonymous range measurement within the scope of this data protection declaration. YouTube Our website uses YouTube plugins for the integration and display of video content. The provider of the video portal is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When a page with an integrated YouTube plugin is called up, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells YouTube which of our pages you have accessed. YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile if you are logged into your YouTube account. You have the option of preventing this by logging out first. YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Details on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Affiliate programmes and affiliate links We include so-called affiliate links or other references (which may include, for example, search masks, widgets or discount codes) to the offers and services of third-party providers in our online offer (collectively referred to as “affiliate links”). If users follow the Affiliate Links or subsequently take advantage of the offers, we may receive a commission or other benefits from those third parties (collectively, “Commission”). In order to be able to track whether users have taken advantage of the offers of an affiliate link used by us, it is necessary that the respective third-party providers learn that the users have followed an affiliate link used within our online offer. The assignment of the affiliate links to the respective business transactions or to other actions (e.g. purchases) serves the sole purpose of commission accounting and will be cancelled as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose. For the purposes of the aforementioned allocation of the affiliate links, the affiliate links may be supplemented by certain values which are a component of the link or may be stored elsewhere, e.g. in a cookie. The values may include in particular the source website (referrer), the time, an online identifier of the operator of the website on which the affiliate link was located, an online identifier of the respective offer, the type of link used, the type of offer and an online identifier of the user. Notes on legal basis: If we ask users for their consent to the use of third-party providers, the legal basis for the processing of data is consent. Furthermore, their use may be a component of our (pre-)contractual services, provided that the use of the third-party providers was agreed within this framework. Otherwise, user data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in efficient, economical and recipient-friendly services). In this context, we would also like to refer you to the information on the use of cookies in this privacy policy. Deletion of data The data processed by us will be deleted in accordance with the legal requirements as soon as their consents permitted for processing are revoked or other permissions cease to apply (e.g. if the purpose for processing this data has ceased to apply or it is not required for the purpose). If the data are not deleted because they are required for other and legally permissible purposes, their processing will be limited to these purposes. I.e. the data is blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for example, to data that must be retained for reasons of commercial or tax law or whose storage is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person. Within the framework of our data protection notices, we may provide users with further information on the deletion as well as on the retention of data that is specific to the processing operation in question. Modification and updating of the data protection noticeWe encourage you to periodically review the content of our Privacy Notice. We adapt the data protection declaration as soon as the changes in the data processing carried out by us make this necessary. We will inform you as soon as the changes require an act of cooperation on your part (e.g. consent) or other individual notification. If we provide addresses and contact information of companies and organisations in this data protection declaration, please note that the addresses may change over time and please check the information before contacting us.
